PPARs role in cancer treatment from Simply Nature

What is PPARS and its role in cancer treatment?

A very scientific explanation: Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) are ligand-activated transcription factors that belong to the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily. PPARalpha is mainly expressed in the liver, where it activates fatty acid catabolism. PPARalpha activators have been used to treat dyslipidemia, causing a reduction in plasma triglyceride and elevation of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol.

In short, PPARs plays a role in the regulation of cancer cell growth in the human body and this is very significant role in cancer treatment. PPARs have been commonly consumed/used by cancer patients alongside their course of cancer treatment or therapies. Simply Nature's PPARs are organically made with no side effects hence its role in cancer treatment is complimentary to ongoing procedures.

PPARdelta is expressed ubiquitously and is implicated in fatty acid oxidation and keratinocyte differentiation. PPARdelta activators have been proposed for the treatment of metabolic disease. PPARgamma2 is expressed exclusively in adipose tissue and plays a pivotal role in adipocyte differentiation. PPARgamma is involved in glucose metabolism through the improvement of insulin sensitivity and represents a potential therapeutic target of type 2 diabetes. Thus PPARs are molecular targets for the development of drugs treating metabolic syndrome. The above scientific yet layman enough explanation is derived from Research Gate.

Evidence that PPARs plays a role in regulation of cancer cell growth

Here, we focus on the function of PPARs in cancer. Studies across the world such as this research paper from the US National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health supports that PPARs are potential drug targets for cancer therapy, while studies from Japanese researchers from their published paper on Hindawi also studied the role of PPARs in Cancer. In another published research paper from American cancer researchers, logged in the American Association for Cancer Research, explains how PPARs alpha and gamma control breast cancer growth by activating the p16INK4A gene expression. All these can be pretty daunting to read and understand as they are written in very scientific terms. Below is a simple explanation definition from Simplynature.

Simple explanation of PPARs

Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptors (PPARs) are a group of nuclear receptor proteins that function as transcription factors regulating the expression of genes. PPARs play essential roles in the regulation of cellular differentiation, development, and metabolism (carbohydrate, lipid, protein), and tumorigenesis of higher organisms.

PPARs gene activators in the form of Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptor Agonists (Unique combination of Long Chain Polyunsaturatted Fatty Acids) will direct the exact amount of nutrients needed by your body, unifying biological systems, functions and processes. Your immune system will then perform optimally at all times – this is a crucial factor to combating and overcoming cancer.

SimplyNature’s PPARs

SimplyNature’s PPARs series is also coupled with RICH CELLULAR nutrition in the form of nucleic acids that support the cells activated by your genes. The rich SUPERFOOD mircro-algae component provides the raw natural nutrition needed to FUEL your body for HEALING and OPTIMAL HEALTH. There are 3 isoforms of PPARs; α (alpha), β/δ (beta/delta) or γ (gamma). Alpha is expressed in liver, kidney, heart, muscle, adipose tissue, and others, whereby the (beta/delta) is expressed in many tissues but markedly in brain, adipose tissue, and skin. The γ (gamma) is expressed in virtually all tissues, including heart, muscle, colon, kidney, pancreas, and spleen.

5 ways for PPARs to overcome cancer

Firstly, the body’s immune system is the most crucial factor to maintain and strengthen in the face of overcoming cancer. PPARs from SimplyNature contains proprietary Micro-Algae’s combination of Phytonutirents, CGF, PPARs Agonists, and nutritional profile has been validated and certified to strengthen our immune system by the proper function of the following 3 major important activities. Firstly, it increases our Dendritic Cell Activity, which identifies cells that are in error, such as cancer cells and identifies them so that our "soldier" Natural Killer T Cells can quickly and clearly attack the cancer cells and defeat them. Next, it increases the Macrophage Cell Activity, which are a type of White Blood Cells that engulfs and digests cellular debris, foreign substances, microbes, cancer cells, and anything else that does not have the types of proteins specific to healthy body cells.

Last but not least, it increases the Natural Killer Cell Activity, which are known as the “commando soldiers” of the body, attacking cancer and also viral infected cells.

PPARs Gamma induces the cell growth arrest and decreases the cell growth proliferation. It does this by downregulating Cyclin E and upregulating Cyclin Kinase Inhibitor P21. Next it targets the cancer cells by starving it. PPARs modulates the inhibition of Angiogenesis, which is the formation of blood vessels around cells to fee tumor as well as cancer calls. By inhibiting angiogenesis, PPARs is able to starve the cancer cells of essential nourishment necessary for their growth. This is a strategic move by reducing the growth of cancer cells, slowing the spread.

After slowing the cancer cells growth spread, PPARs then minimizes the spread of cancer tumor. Research has shown that 90% of cancer deaths are caused by the spread or Metastasis of cancer cells. SimplyNature’s PPARs has the important function of being able to activate the PPARs Gamma to increase cell adhesion hence reducing cell migration and the spread.

The fifth way is for PPARs to reduce inflammation. This is how it works, PPARs modulates the body’s ability to regulate and decrease inflammation. Inflammation is a crucial factor here as it creates an environment that promotes both Angiogenesis and Metastasis, which is the spread of cancer. By managing and reducing inflammation, the human body is then better positioned to starve the cancer cells and minimize the spread of cancer cells to other parts of the body by metastasis.

If you have heard of very unfortunate outcomes with going through the traditional chemotherapy and other medical treatments using chemical drugs, and you firmly believe there is an alternative way to be cured, you will be happy to know that SimplyNature’s PPARs is being used as a primary agent by Naturapathy doctors in their treatment of cancer patients. We have worked with many doctors starting in The Philippines who specialize in the natural treatment way. Our bodies have a special ability to recover when combined with natural solutions such as PPARs. The assuring thing is there are no contra-indications with most oncological medical treatments, it is being used by medical doctors as an adjunct nutritional support to standard oncological treatments.

The above is a video of further support from the healthcare industry experts that found PPARs as molecular targets for the treatment and prevention of diseases. This video is part of a Wednesday Afternoon Lectures series from the NIH starring Doctor Jeffrey Peters In 2009.

More about the speaker: Dr. Jeffrey Peters completed his graduate training at the University of California at Davis followed by postdoctoral fellowships at the Institute of Toxicology and Environmental Health at UC Davis, and then in the Laboratory of Metabolism at the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Peters has performed seminal research concerning the biological role of the PPAR class of nuclear receptors.

His more recent research has focused on elucidating functional roles of PPARb/d in disease. His research has had a profound impact on the risk assessment of a broad range of chemicals, helping to focus mechanistic research on the extrapolation of effects in animal models to humans. Additionally, his studies have provided clues to new molecular targets that may be suitable for the treatment and prevention of cancer.

Dr. Peters is a charter member of the Chemo/Dietary Prevention study section, he has served on a number of national committees, and he is on a variety of editorial boards in addition to serving as an Associate Editor for Toxicological Sciences.
